Beachcomber Outdoor Resort offers private access to a sandy Atlantic Ocean beach and a 1,000-ft. pier for fishing in the Intracoastal Waterway.
A weekday in St. Augustine is like a Sunday afternoon anywhere else. People are out and about, taking time for themselves, setting a pace that visitors long to take home with them.
Visitors may take a carriage ride through the historic community; survey the battlements of Fort Castillo de San Marcos (completed in 1665); explore ancient colonial buildings; and visit Ripley’s Believe-It-Or-Not Museum, the Fountain of Youth Archeological Park, and more. St. Augustine also offers fishing charter boats and some of the finest restaurants in Florida.

Directions: From I-95 exit at State Rd. 16, go eastbound 7 miles to St. Augustine. Continue on State Rd. 16 one block past U.S. Hwy. 1 to San Marco St. Turn right and go 1/2 mile to the second signal light (Hwy. A1A North). Turn left and cross bridge to signal light. Turn left. 1 mile to resort on left.
Reservation Information: Phone campground for info; we stayed here under a Passport America affiliation which has since been withdrawn. Campground is private and may not accept non-member visitors during high-season.
