We were traveling down I5 and based on our travel book, took the 20+ mile detour to Chico, CA to go to this highly rated Good Sam approved RV park. We arrived at 2:00 PM on Sunday to find the office closed for the day, (Sunday hours posted on the door were 9-1). There was a self-checkin envelope box so we got one and went to an empty site. After we got all set up, we found that the restrooms and showers required a key to use, so they were unavailable. The next morning, my wife went to the office to pay our bill, and asked for a discount since we had not had full use of the amenities. The woman behind the counter went postal and berated my wife for asking and then said all we really wanted was a free night and demanded that we get off the property immediately!! When my wife tried to explain we certainly did not expect anything like that the woman got more irate and once again told my wife to get out and off of the property. So we did. We have never encountered anything like this and recommend that all Rvers avoid this establishment! How this outfit got to be Good Sam approved is a mystery to us.
