I can't really say enough good things about this campground. We recently returned from a wonderful vacation there. It is now on the very short list of our most favorite campgrounds. We have camped for many years, but have not campedin the last three years and never with our second child (now a toddler). We bought a new tent this summer and decided to try it again. We had a ball! The kids had fun with Yogi and the activities (and I must admit, my husband and I did too). Sleeping with the sound of the stream was so relaxing. I have missed it! The temperatures were great at night too. The activities are great, but they are not distracting to those who prefer to sit by the stream and relax. There is a good balance of kid-friendly activities/facilities and opportunities to enjoy nature. The bathhouse was always clean. The campsites were great too! I absolutely love and appreciate the "no pets" policy for the tent area. These owners have thought of everything! It is nice to set up the tent knowing that there are no "signs" of the previous campers' dogs around. The owners set a friendly tone, but also seem to enforce their rules. The other campers were courteous and honored the quiet hours. The store is well-stocked. This successful trip has definitely helped us get back into tent camping. The only negative I see is that Great Smoky Jellystone Campground has set the bar very high for the next campground we try!
