Acres of Wildlife is completely private in the midst of 300 privately owned acres and surrounded by 4,000 acres of state owned pine. A family destination campground, we are informal and are a place where people meet easily and take friendships back home. Just to give you an idea, there’s daily activities for the whole family, such as a great beach, swimming, fishing, hiking, ice-cream sundaes, homemade food, theme weeks and weekends, mini-golf… there’s so much to do and so little time!

We rented the Suite at the Inn on the Lake. Nice covered porch right on beach. Warm clean lake, lots of teenagers who played King of the Hill on the lake floats and Manhunt at night. Bring big squirt guns for the fire truck " Wet Hayride". Single kayaks rent for $3 an hour, a bargain to paddle around the Lake. Bridgton drive-in ( 25 minutes away)was empty on a week night, letting us see the screen with a ceiling of stars.
Beaches were a minimum 45 minute drive which was longer than we had anticipated. This is the type of camp ground where people hang out there all day long.
The bathrooms were unbelievably clean.
Food at the campground was OK, but the nightly entertainment was so creative, that you could overlook the food.
Fresh muffins ( chocolate and blueberry) were a hit every morning with kids.
It would be a really fun place to go to with another family , or meet up with extended family. Sort of like a camp version of Club Med with silly, fun family games throughout the day.

Great place, easily takes larger rigs - ours is 34 feet and we have stayed on at least 10 different sites. Power has also been upgraded in many areas. Reserve early often booked.

I would recommend that you visit this campground. There is so much to do. Very peaceful and the lake is beautiful. Everyone there is very nice and willing to help you if you need it. They have some spectacular attractions nearby like North Conway, Mount Washington, and Freeport.

great for the kids

We have been camping here every year for the last ten years or so. The staff is friendly and they are great with the kids, lots of scheduled activities. The campground itslef is very nice and clean, free hot showers and plenty of restrooms located throughout the campground. They do not have a pool but there is a pond to swim in and they rent rowboats, canoes and kayaks. The sites are plenty big and not too close together. A great place to camp!

Very nice

Last summer we decided to go camping with a group of friends, there were 6 in 3 tents. We had two campsites right on the pond/lake that they have there. It had been raining alot the week before so the campsite was pretty wet and some of the dirt had washed away. Other than that the site was real nice, it was fairly large, with a picnic table and a fire pit, and because we were right on the water, we had a nice little view. One problem with being that close to the water was that there was lots of bugs, but since it was Maine, I don't think it would have been different anywhere else.

We were about a 1 min walk to the closest bathroom and a 3-4 min walk to the closest showers. The bathrooms were kind of old and out of date, but they were working flush toliets. They could be cleaned a little more often if you asked me, once a day doesn't work with that many people. I don't know if this was common or not, but the toliet paper was damp and wet, and it was hard to use, not sure if some kids had some fun in their with water guns, or if that was a common issue. The Hot showers were free, but the water pressure wasn't that great, so if there were others taking showers, you had to suffer. Overall the bathrooms were OK, they weren't bad, but they were not great either, I would recommend upgrading their facilities, it would make the stay much better.

The campground had lots to do if you have a family, lots of activies all of the time, if you have a family this is definatly for you. They have arcades, mini-golf, hay rides, swimming and playgrounds. Highly recommended for kids.

The campground allows dogs, but I don't consider it totally pet friendly, there are lots of rules, that really restrict what you can do with your dog. Before you bring your dog, be sure to read all of the rules.

They did not have a swimming pool, but they do have a fairly nice pond/lake with a sandy beach, and a swim area. I didn't go swimming but I did rent a kayak and it was pretty nice to be out on the water like that. They have fishing if you bring your rod and reel. The pond/lake is nice, but I prefer to swim in swimming pools, so if you are like me, take notice.

Overall this campground is very nice, very family friendly with lots to do. If you are in the area you should try out this campground.
