Nice grounds, but unwelcoming locals and very angry, hostile owner.

Decent grounds, but only for RV camping, as there is mostly clear, open lots with few trees and thus little privacy; it would have felt more like camping if I had set my tent up in my backyard. Most of the people there are clearly regulars who are all buddy-buddy with each other and the owners, and treated us 'outsiders' with a "This is our campground, not yours" attitude. Worse still, the owner is extremely hostile to customers; when he thought I was 'speeding' on the main camp road (a 5mph limit) he sped up to me in his golf-cart (clearly going well over 5mph, which I saw him do whenever he was traveling around the park) and proceed to scream at the top of his lungs at me, threatening me with eviction, and my family and I had only been in the park less than 3 hours. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone; no matter how good it looks on paper, you will feel unwelcome.

parked a 5th wheel for a weekend

although this campgroud appears nice tidy and quite the man on the golf cart is loud and insane. he threw two camp sites out the weekend we were there and only the lord knows why. he and his wife were fighting each on their own golf cart. i wouldn't bring my kids back to this campground the owners are obiviously not about hosting a family camp ground. the pool was green the weekend we were there and the bathroom floors someone could fall though. the only thing going for this campground are the seasonal campers that were very friendly! stay away is our suggestion

Nice camprground, very friendly people. Would definitely recommend to friends. Boating, swimming, wooded and sunny sites, back in and pull thru. Pets allowed.

We had site 65 - a cozy, back-in wooded site. Felt very private w/ the trees and bushes around us. Elaine was able to provide good info on driving directions and suggestions on where to go. Everyone we met was very friendly. Wanted to use the swimming dock but we were too busy going places. We did rent a canoe one night and paddled about the lake - very nice. The game room is arcade games. The store has a great lending library. Some of the sunny site picnic tables are covered w/ bug lights and electrical outlets. Did not use the bathrooms or showers as our 5th wheel is more than adequate for us. Close to town in case you need Wal-Mart or Rite Aid. Very easy to get too off I-95. About .5 hr to Bangor, 1.5 hr from Belfast, about 2 hr from Bar Harbor. There's a railroad at the edge and it was fun to see the occasional train go by. Would definitely recommend this cmpgrnd to anyone going in that area.

This is suppose to be a family friendly campground which it is not, there is nothing to offer to the kids except a little playground and pool, when it is open....It opens and closes at their convenience. the owners need people skills. And can be very rude. The view is pretty and the area is nice, But that is all this campground has going for it self. I would not recommend this campground.

The owners of this campground need to learn some people skills.
tehy need to follow there own rule and regulations and stop screaming at the kids for jumping in the pool. The campgrounds itself is beautiful and well maintained but the owner is one obnoxious person and can make a much needed vacation very miserable and stressful.

This campground is clean and very nice looking but looks are very decieving. The pool never opens on time and there are some days they do not even open it. If your kids like to swim Sunday mornings before they leave you may as well forget it because half the time they do not open it on Sundays untill the weekenders are gone. The pool also gets closed when they feel like it and it is suppose to be open untill 9:00. When kids are jumping or running in the pool area instead of asking them politly to stop the man who owns the campground will be very rude to them and yell. He is very rude to people who do not stop at the store and will start yelling at them. The wife is very nice and respectful to people but the man is rude and critical of people. I do know that many people who camped here in the past on aregular basis do not come anymore. My kids were also subjected to swearing and yelling that they never should of heard from a campground owner when he was kicking somebody out for driving to fast.
