Hemlock Grove Campground

5 reviews

The property that Hemlock Grove Campground now sets upon has belonged to four generations of the management.

The campground was established in the year 2000, and built from the ground up. It now sits on five + acre’s with 50 sites, office, store, and laundry room and bathhouse, with expansion in the near future.

We are very proud of our business, and take great pride in our integrity in setting our standards high, in achieving a family oriented campground for the public to enjoy….

NOT FRIENDLY AND VERY PETTY....We were camping with 4 other sites and could not get a fire going because the fire ring was so sunk in the ground we all mentioned it should be raised to get air under it so after raising the fire ring to get a fire because the ring was so sunk down and the fire would not keep going we raised it to get air under neath so we could have a fire. We were going to put it back down before we left but we had a major storm and were all ready soaked packing up. On the way home we got a phone call from HemlockGrove and we were truthful on what we did and apologized but I got a rude remark and Due to that reason we are Banned and not welcomed back (NO BIG LOSS ANYWAYS) We were told that we MOVED the fire ring but we only RAISED it up, and we are not welcomed anymore. Our site was very Stoney and some were the size of baseballs and twigs all over it along with dried up Dog Poop of which we had to rake up and did not complain about that. They do not have very good Amenties, just a horseshoe pit a very small hall and small playground for children. They do have cable and a limited store and oh they pick up the trash. You can tell they do not put money back into the campground.

We have been camping for over 35 yrs and have never been treated like that. Very petty and childish

My peace has been written

Not sure what the problem was with the one review that said that the owners were not friendly. I can not say enough how caring and friendly the owners are. In any case this is one of our most enjoyable campgrounds large wooded sites close to shopping and the beach, away so you can relax. The owners showed us the very impressive rec hall, they are working on more planed activities for the rec hall. We are looking forward to a return visit. Keep up the well run campground. If you get a chance ask how Stanley and Buttons are in the office. See you next year.

Cant say enough about this campground. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Our kids had a blast at the playground and arcade. Sites are large and easy to back into.
Free WI-FI and cable to their sites is a major plus. Their Bathrooms are immaculate and it is very noticeable that they take care of them often.
To the last reviewer....why did it take "several times" for you to realize that this campground wasn't for you? Also it clearly states on their web site and literature that there are no more than 6 people per site, which I believe is mandated by State regulations, not theirs. Maybe next time do your homework.
Cant wait to get back to Hemlock Grove Campground next summer!!!!

We visited this camp ground several times because of the location. We have a large family and we are not welcomes there. First time camping there we made reservation, told them the number and paid ahead for the week. When arriving there my husband went in to check in and a different person asked how many...my husband said 9 children 2 adults and the guy said that we had to many and would have to rent two spots! This was not what I was told when making the reservation. We really wanted to leave then but we would lose the money we had already paid so we rented the second spot.THEY ARE NOT FRIENDY AND NOT WELCOMING TO CHILDREN...
