If you want to experience a beautiful part of Maine then Apple Valley Campground is a great place, outdoors activities are abundant around Apple Valley Campground. This part of Maine has a great deal of available outdoors activities.
You could also check out nearby Wilson Lake. Smarts Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. Gull Rock is an interesting place to visit while at Apple Valley Campground. From the top of Gile Mountain you get a great view of the surrounding area. Shapleigh Pond Dam is worth checking out while you’re here. Taking a little trip to nearby Nutters Point is a great idea. If you’re into the whole hydro structure thing you can check out Horn Pond Dam. If you like swamps you’re in luck, Long Swamp is right nearby. The view from the top of Bond Mountain is worth the climb. If you’re in a climbing mood you may want to go up on Horn Hill.
A short trip to Great Falls is always worthwhile. Why not check out Square Pond Outlet Dam while you’re here. A visit to The Hoppers rejuvenates the soul. While staying at Apple Valley Campground you could always explore Barn Door Gap. Check out Davis Brook while you’re here at Apple Valley Campground. Hit the beach if you want, Great East Lake Beach is practically right here. Don’t forget to take a nice little excursion to Pump Box Brook. If you want to get a better view of the area you could always climb Gerrish Mountain. Why not check out nearby Farnham Brook if you’re here at Apple Valley Campground. Jones Brook is a pretty stream that is worth checking out.
Goose Rock is a nice place to check out not far away. Newfield Wildlife Management Area is a good place to check out. Lakes? Sure, Hansen Pond is right next door. There are other places here besides Apple Valley Campground, for example Moose Pond. Drop by Balch Pond Outlet Dam while you’re here. A cool spot to check out is Bald Ledge
