Summary:

Noisy, not good for tenting, but perhaps OK for trailers.

Date:

July 31, 2011

We tented one night at Bluegrass Campground in July, 2011 and were profoundly disappointed. I rate it as the worst tenting experience of the approximately 200 in my life: campers played music and talked loudly until 3:30 a.m., it is located very close to the Toledo Express Airport where planes landed as late as 12:30 a.m., I could hear trucks changing gears on the main road throughout the night, residents began leaving for work at 6:00 a.m. I slept for only 3 hours. On the positive side, it is clean, the proprietors are responsive and helpful, the shower house is small, but neat. However, it is not a family tenting site, since most residents seem to be seasonal or semi-permanent. If you have a trailer with an air conditioner or a white noise generator, you might have a different experience.
