Really wanted to like this campgrounds, but....

August 16, 2010

We really wanted to like this place. The reviews were ok, the amenities looked good.

What ruined it for me was the nickel-n-diming this place did. Asked my cousin, whom lives nearby, to stop by and have a dog by the fire. They were there for 1.5 hours, it cost me $40 for them to come talk and catch up. I can understand $10 for a car to come to the grounds for a visit. I was willing to go $20 for their visit, but $40? I'm sorry, that's not right.

We even went up to the office on our way out and gave them the opportunity to rectify the situation, cause we really wanted to like this place. But no, they said "Sorry you had a bad experience". That's it, nothing else.

Oh, and if you wanted to put up an additional tent, on your own site, it was an additional $18. Seriously?

Suggest you save your money and find another campgrounds.

The road/paths are horrible, narrow and full of potholes. Not BIG RV friendly.

We stayed here in a pop-up. Aug 2010.
