Indian Trail Campground is a great place to unwind and join in any of the many planned activities we have scheduled or just roam on your own! Either way you choose, you will never run out of things to do!. Our Indian Mound is nestled in the woods near the Vermilion River, and is a great “get away spot” to hike and enjoy nature!. We are located along the rolling hills of southern Huron County, between Mansfield and Sandusky Ohio. Boating, fishing, hiking, and our New Train are available for your enjoyment!. Our New Train makes the ’rounds around the campground and to the Indian Mounds located a short distance from any of the campsites!. The Indian Mound is a short hike which takes about 15 minutes and is a very easy walk for all the campers. If you like Karaoke and dancing, we have that too, along with live Bands, check out our activities page to learn more!. Indian Trail has been highly rated in the top 15% in the nation for our facilities and cleanliness! AAA states Indian Trail is an “exceptionally well maintained facility”. We strive to make your visit pleasant and memorable!. We are conveniently located between Cedar Point and the Lake Erie Islands, and the Charm of the Amish Country!. Seasonal sites are available for those campers that enjoy premium sites and “that weekend getaway”!

Back to Nature! It was great to be at a family friendly campground!

The campground was a great selection for our family with lots of places for us to explore onsite..indian mound, trek around the lake, fishing without a license. The back to nature experience is just want we wanted. Also the location was a good spot for vacationing during our week stay .. lake erie boat ride, and a ride down to the amish. Later this summer we look forward to enjoying the pool and cedar point. The activity areas are spread out with different playground areas and activities, and space to roam. Longer office hours during the weekdays would have been nice, but we enjoyed ourselves throughly every day.

not good

Date:

We went with the whole family "7 kids,7 adults"..Rented two cabins and brought two travel trailers..The campsites were terrible, no grass, on a rough, dirt, root-filled slope, no room to open awnings, mine was so close to the next camper that I could not use my awning and could barely use my little 8 foot ez-up. picnic tables were junk. Bathrooms were ok.Cabins were ok but no AC. The lake was nasty and boats were filthy and they only had one canoe, two peddle boats and two row boats, all in rough shape. Two of us are disabled so walking distance is not an option. I own a golf cart just for this reason, but they told us that only seasonal campers could have them. But they said we could use mobility scooters. That would be impossible on the rough gravel roads and the rutted, dirt, sloped camp sites..So my mother-n-law and I were stranded at the site, and had to drive our cars to get around. The pool was much too far away to walk. The "train ride" was a joke. It only had one car behind it and only ran for a half hour. Our kids and many others never got a ride. No activities-couldnt walk the 1/4 mile to the front.
