STAY AWAY. This is the worst customer service we have encountered anywhere in the past 5 years. We reserved four sites months ago and when our party arrived they were flooded and unusable. Told, too bad. When I called to discuss the problem the "manager" Jen interupted my first sentence to start telling me my brother had "exploded on them" and sarcastically "what did I want". I tried several times to have a civil conversation and she continued to rant, about "what did we expect" "did I know camping was an outside activity and other things that if she worked for me would lead to instant dismissal and my apology to the customer. They attempted to intimidate my brother as well. No reason to risk this type of treatment. Found nice service, dry sites, and good facilities just up the road at Mohican Adventure Camp and Fairground.

Large sites, able to put several tents on one site. Cost of $25 per night only included two adults and one tent. It cost each additional person on that site $10 per adult and $5 per child. This was not explained to me when making telephone reservations, I was only told that the sites were large and could hold up to several tents. I later received my reservation confirmation in the mail, along with a pamphlet. On the confirmation was written and highlighted that full refund cancellation had to be made seven days prior to the date of reservation. At no time was I told of the additional $10 per adult. When the other guest arrived later, they were charged $60 for two adults for three nights, the office staff argued with me and circled it on the pamphlet. She even stated that she informed me on the telephone when I made reservations that she had told me this, but the others were listening in and they never heard this. Maybe she should have circled it on the pamphlet she mailed to me, rather than make a note of the cancellation period on the confirmation slip.

They had three small showers for men and three small showers for woman. The bathrooms consisted of three pit latrines for men and three pit latrines for woman, some port-a-johns and only two flush toilets for woman, one flush toilet for men and one urinal. The port-a-johns stunk badly by Sunday. The pit latrines stank and people kept slamming the doors every time they went to the bathroom, day and night.

Signs are posted that quiet hours are 11 pm to 9 am and are "strictly enforced". This is so untrue, to the point that they had the refuse company emptying their dumpsters at 0600 on Monday morning, a holiday weekend, when most of the campers were there for three days. No peace and quiet for three days.

The reservation staff need to be more friendly and upfront re: the cost per person.

I will never go here again, nor will I recommend it. There are four other campgrounds nearby and the Mohican State Park. I made poor choice and strongly regret it.
