Located between 2 fresh water lakes, 30 heavily wooded sites with showers and flushes, restaurant, Inn, cabins; rafting, fishing, swimming, hiking; 8 miles from Baxter State Park,,Big Moose Inn offers 11 comfortable antique filled guest rooms that share 3 baths. Our rates are $45 per person, per night (price includes a deluxe continental breakfast and tax).

Big Moose Cabins
Our fully furnished housekeeping cabins are a favorite of groups looking for a warm setting. Comfortably housing groups from 2 to 16, our trailside cabins make for a perfect base camp in the Katahdin region.

Antique Cabin ~ Our smallest cabin has one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, two additional single beds in the living area, a small kitchen setup and bathroom. (Minimum rate per night $120—3 persons or more $40 per person)

Cabin One ~ A three bedroom cabin that sleeps 10 with full kitchen, bathroom, and living room area. (Minimum rate per night $200— 6 persons or more $40 per person)

Cabin Ten ~ A large cabin on Millinocket Lake with full kitchen, fieldstone fireplace and bathroom. This three bedroom cabin sleeps 12-14 people (Minimum rate per night $250— 7 persons or more $40 per person)

Katahdin House ~ Modern post and beam house with cathedral ceilings, oak flooring throughout with four bedrooms and an attached suite that sleeps 15+. This lodge is secluded with large yard and deck. It has a full cooking kitchen, large living room and 2 full baths. (Minimum rate per night $400– 11 persons or more $40 per person)

We ask cabin guests to bring their own sleeping bags and towels. We do not allow pets on our property. All reservations require payment in full at time of booking and are non-refundable. Cabin rates include tax only.

Loose Moose Bar and Grille
Serving homemade hearty soups, stews, sandwiches and more Friday thru Sunday at Loose Moose Bar and Grille at Big Moose Inn.

Directions

The Big Moose Inn is located at the foot of Mt Katahdin, between two beautiful Lakes. Take Interstate 95 North to exit 56 in Medway, use route 157 west to Millinocket. Follow the signs to Baxter State Park. The Big Moose Inn is approximately 8 miles outside of Millinocket on the right, next to the North Woods Trading Post

Housekeeping Cottages provide linens and all your cooking needs. Please bring your own towels!!!


Cancellation Policy

Deposit and Cancellation Policy - 50% deposit upon reservation, balance due upon arrival. Cancellation Policy - prior to 30 days of arrival - full refund. Cancellations within 30 days no refund / forfeiture of deposit. No refunds for early departure.

dont go on weekends rafters party till 2-3 am 11 pm quiet hours do not exist people driving in at all hours of the night bathrooms in poor shape bring extra hose if you have anytype of a camper pets not allowed but no attempt to keep "tame skunk" out of your site or trash as there is limited trash pickup and no dumpster avalable in the campgrounds not a place to relax or go to sleep early to climb mt Katahdin
