As far as campgrounds go this has to be in my top 3 ever. You couldn’t ask for a more serine campground. The sites are huge and very well thought out, there’s not a bad site in the place. The views from the sites are of majestic red cedar trees as high as you can imagine and a great view of Flagstaff Lake if you’re on a lake side site. It’s a great place for the kiddo’s also our two kids had plenty to and made a ton of great friends. The personnel at the campground are just fantastic and they really go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The fact that the place is bug controlled also is a huge plus in my book. They have their on private beach which is a bit small but still very nice.
As I read in another review and which is still very true to date is that more and more people are finding out about this jewel of a campground and it’s getting harder to get reservations. You almost have to start planning for next year this year if you want to get in there. A lot of others say that the long haul to get there is a possible deterrent to some and a down fall of the campground, but I think that’s just what you would want in a campground, it’s far away and there are not a lot of big towns nearby. Don’t let the drive steer ya away from this place, you won’t regret it.
