DON'T CAMP HERE

Date:

June 21, 2008

BAD site managers -- charge a small fortune for the site and then charged us for one of our three children (an 8 yr old) and charged us for an extra vehicle (military and moving -- had two vehicles). Ants all over the site -- they treated one mound when we asked them about it. Had to spray RAID all over the picnic table. Wouldn't let us park our spare vehicle in an UNUSED dirt area on the other side of the road across from our camper. Pool is only open from 12-8pm even though there is no lifeguard. Charged obscene amount to wash and dry laundry. ($1.75 per load to wash and $25 per 10 min to dry) Cost us $400 to stay there for 12 days -- so we will be leaving early (and that is with the KOA discount card)

Summary:

Absolutely the worst campground MNGRS I have ever encountered.

Date:

February 26, 2008

Managers were arbitrary in enforcing rules.Very expensive monthly 399.00. Electric 14 cent kwh. NOISE from I-20 is horrible as there is construction starting at campground.Goathead thorns are all over site. This the only campgrnd we have stayed in America that we actually felt UNWELCOME & HARRASSED. Beware if you are coming here as they change & apply rules at will. Not good for us who come long distances for several mo. stays( FL to TX). We feel MNGRS. should abide by rules we are given at ck. in as we are abiding by the rules we were given.
