Located among the foothills of the Ozark Mountains lies the beautiful five-county area called the Ozark Foothills Region. Situated midway between St. Louis and Memphis and on the banks of the beautiful Current River in Van Buren, Missouri, lays Deer Run Campground. This is the park that offers everything today’s river campers expect from a quality campground; and is the largest privately owned campground in the Van Buren area.
Canoe BBQ is available for catering and meetings! There are no regular hours now that it is fall, but Canoe BBQ is the exciting new restaurant at Deer Run Campground. Start off your day with breakfast. You can get a BBQ sandwich for lunch at the restaurant or enjoy a hickory smoked hot dog right at the river’s edge at the new Chuckwagon that also features cool and refreshing Shaved Ice! The 4,000 square ft. Recreation Hall and Canoe BBQ is the perfect place to relax after a day of river fun. Canoe BBQ features mouthwatering hickory smoked BBQ and homemade pies. There are also daily specials and free Friday Night Family Movies!
Our campsites around the pool and playground have full hook ups and cable TV available. We also welcome you to tent camp and use our clean and newly refurbished restrooms and hot showers. Whatever you need, you will find it at Deer Run Campground’s camp store. We have modem access available, pets are welcome and we can accommodate your group with our family reunion facilities. We offer handicap accessible facilities.
There is no lack of choices to fill your time! Enjoy the 950 feet of riverfront area* or our swimming pool. Consider canoeing, tubing, fishing or hiking. There are planned activities for the children and even rainy day matinees.
