Clean, well manicured, quiet, friendly
June 28, 2010
We have camped there several times over the last several years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Out of the 6 campgrounds we camp at it is our #1 choice, we just can't always get in. We try to reserve weeks or months in advance - especially for holiday weekends. On the holidays there are lots of activities for all ages. Swimming, fishing, walking trail, clean bathrooms and shower house, nice large recreation building, pool tables, video games, shelter house, beautiul setting. We also like it because it is close to many of the summer activities we like. Marmon Valley Farms, The caverns, Piatt Castle, and shopping. Shopping in West Liberty, Indian Lake and the Amish communities. We prefer this place over the congestion of some of the larger campgrounds. The sites are spacious. If we lived closer we would buy a yearly site here because we like it so much. Our kids and their friends that camp with us prefer this one too.

Quiet, no shade
July 24, 2006
This campground is mostly set up for long-term campers. They have the sites with trees. Most visitors stay in a central grassy area with no shade trees.
The property is well cared for and neat. There is swimming in a farm pond but no pool.
Nice place for somewhere quiet to hang out but kids will get bored pretty quickly I think. The lack of shade makes it pretty hot in the summer even with AC. The owners are nice people and friendly. Fires are permitted in fire rings which they provide.
Tent camping was down the hill. There was some shade there but when it rains the area floods.
