Pleasant View is a clean, quiet, campground in a country setting. It is a family campground where you will enjoy a variety of activities in a warm friendly atmosphere – whether you stay overnight or for the season. The sites are both open and shaded and most are level pull-thrus. For the comfort and convenience of clubs, reunions, and other groups, there is a building or meeting room available by reservation. Our restaurant serves homemade pizza and sandwiches and some of the best ice cream around! Whether you’re looking for lots of activities or just a relaxing getaway, Pleasant View has just what you’re looking for!

Great Family Camping

Date:

July 27, 2012

Took the boys for a camping trip. Boys liked the water slide, the sandy beach and jumping pillow. Some neighbors were drinking pretty heavy and making alot of noise after the quite time of 11:00 pm and the staff was right on the problem. We enjoyed our campfire and got a good night rest. Very clean park with lots to do. We shall return.

Had a great time with the grand kids. They loved the jumping pillow and the water slide. The campground had alot of flowers and was very clean. The pancake, egg & sauage breakfast saturday morning at the pavillion was great and very reasonable price. Look forward to our next visit.

Have read some of the negitive comments and it seems as if they are from folks who did not want to follow the camp guidlines and cause damage. Too bad, let the party to dawn folks go some where else. We hope that it will always be a safe family campground. Come see for yourself. HappyCamper7.

We had went family camping for the last 15 years, after that idiot took over it all went down hill. In 2010 had very poor service and mix up on dates and wasn't going back, but my family talked me into it. My nephew accidently ran over a water pipe sticking up from the ground. The person that fixed it bitched the whole time he was there. and then theyc harged someone else's camping on our credit card and threatened to sue us. Saying it was fraud on our part, luckily it was some of our relation and they gave us the money back. DO NOT CAMP HERE, YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!!!

Not very pleasant

Wow! All personnel very rude. Including owner! Can not ask a question without being talked down to or without them raising their voices. They, as in employees, park in marked handicap spots while handicap visitors can not utilize the spaces. Even after brought to their attention. Not only that, the employees are not to follow the same driving rules as the rest. 5mph means 5mph! I have children and would hate for one of the employees or anyone flying thru hit a child. I would not recommend this campground to anyone while under this management!

Pleasant View Camnpground owner Randy Perry is a Asshole. He is not child frindley. He is not adult frindley for that matter. He reminds me of Mr. Crab's on the show Spongbob {RRRRRRR thats me money} . Stay away from Pleasant View Camnpground. or as we call it Unpleasant View. Or come out and find out for your self. But dont get mad when he kicks ya out.

The description of this site is very old. It is now under new ownership and a KOA. Yet, I hear that that may be changing again soon. The resteraunt was not open the entire summer of 2010. The store was very under stocked. They do charge for many things that I would have thought was included in staying there. During the busier weekends, there was a lot to do for the kids. This was mostly done by volunteers rather than the campground, though. The haunted trail was fun. The playground equipment is ok, but there is NO shade. It can get very hot. Also the jumping pillow gets very hot and so they only have it open early mornings or later at night and not always during the week. Currently they don't charge for this, though I'm sure they will eventually. The swimming pond was occassionally full of slime. Also, it rarely had SET hours. Sometimes it was only open in the early evening; though during the day is when everyone wants to cool down. Of course, there is very little shade there also and the water is often like bathwater -- not very cooling, I guess. Also, maybe its normal for the area, but I thought the sand around the water was like kitty litter. The owner is not very personable and is a stickler for rules. He yelled at a couple kids who were talking/laughing too loudly, even though it was only around 6pm.

The description of this campground must be from when the previous owners had it. It is correct in saying that it is a quiet campground, because if you're not, the current owner and a sheriff will be at your site! The restaurant used to be a wonderful benefit and the kids loved the ice cream. Now, it might be open.... it might not. The ice cream consists of something out of the freezer in the office. The "store" consists of shelving on one wall in the office, and a couple of coolers that are mostly bare. The previous owners had activities for the kids to do all day long, now you might have three activities for the day. Not much for the older kids to do other than fishing (if the pond isn't completely overrun with moss and slime) or swimming. If you are planning on having someone visit you while you are here, I hope they are in good shape or you have a golf cart. Visitor parking is at the far end of the campground and you are not to have additional vehicles at your site. The only upside, is that you won't have to be put on a waiting list to get in here.... there are pleanty of sites open under the new ownership!

This used to be a much nicer campground. Nice facilities, pool, shuffleboard, playground, pond etc. but it is only window dressing.
