Summary:

Worst campground EVER

Date:

June 26, 2011

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST campground I have ever stayed in in my 20yrs of camping!! Most of the campground is full of seasonal sites. Campers, that I must say, look like they have been there since 1965. The bingo was unfriendly, as we felt unwelcome in someone elses home with all the seasonals there. The wooded area is too full of 'woods' to manuever any size camper over 20' long. They cut some limbs back, but they did not cut them flush with the trunk, but rather they are 4' long, thus hitting the roof or side of the camper. It it almost impossible to get your camper into the wooded sites because they have not cut the trees out at the road to be able to make the turn into the site. The electrical lines in the wooded part are also VERY low. The field is no better! Yes it is a field, but it is water logged from one nights rain! The mud was up to the hubs of the truck and the camper. Left them some nice unintentional ruts getting in and out. OH, and our neighbors in the field were only about 2' off our awning and other side of the camper too. (Same as in the woods, crowded and no room.) If the site across from us was not empty we would not have been able to make the swing into the site in the field. Over-all this campground has potential if the owners would cut some trees in the woods along the roads, get rid of a couple of sites in the field to make more room and put some gravel in the sites in the field to combat the water logged ground. The owners do not seem to care about the campers, just the seasonal people. We and the 2 couples on either side of us will not be returning ever !!!
