Knight Island State Park

Added by camprate admin

0 reviews

A 175-acre island park in Lake Champlain, with only seven campsites, six with lean-tos, spaced along almost 3 miles of shoreline. Talk about remote! Knight Island, two miles east of North Hero Island, is accessible only by boat. Ferry service ($), is available from Burton Island, off the St. Albans shore, or you can bring your own boat. No dockspace for extended tie-up so plan to anchor off or beach your boat. Remote area camping with designated sites, but no toilet facilities or running water. Fires permitted in firepits. No vehicles. A scenic trail system around the island connects sites and opens at vista points with sweeping over-water views to the Adirondacks and Green Mountains. Caretaker on island. Reservations accepted through Burton Island State Park. MC/VISA.
