I mistakenly indicated in presvious post rating that Odetah was a 5/10 for being family friendly. The should have read 10/10. I accidently checked the wrong area. The 5/10 was for being pet friendly. While pets are allowed, you cannot walk dogs. Some do not like this but they do provide a wlaking area on the grounds.

Best Around

We've camped at many places but Odetah is by far the best Camping Resort we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The park is well run with rules that are enforced. This keeps things nice and safe and keeps the riff raff out, to the degree anyone is able. The lake is very clean as are the award winning facilities. They have beach entertainment very often with DJ's or live bands. The fireworks on the 4th are awesome. You will not find a nicer camp resort in all of New England. The fact that it's always booked solid says a lot.

The one negative report listed on this site is truly not consistent with this resort and one must wonder the motivation behind such a post. Perhaps this person was removed for not following the rules and now had a case of sour grapes.

LOVE IT

Date:

Before becoming a seasonal at Odetah, we traveled around New England every weekend staying each weekend at a different campground. We love it here and consider it our home. The campground is neat and clean. Each year, a new addition or change is made to the campground so it is never boring. The theme weekends are the best - with a terrific fireworks show over the lake on July 4th, not to mention lobster weekend - a favorite! The managers in charge are kind, friendly and genuinely concerned with campers enjoying their stay. This year, with rising costs in the seasonal fees, we traveled to different campgrounds, but none could compare to what Odetah has to offer. Great family fun!!!

AWFUL

I was a seasonal camper at this awful campground. This place is disguisting. My property was vandalized and I had property stolen. Vehicles were broken into. I was constantly woken up very early by barking dogs. The security was a joke. The guy in charge of security was only responsive if you were his boyfriend. The CT State Police had to be brought in to control the fighting that broke out. Also, there was "poop" found in the lake. All of this for the bargain price of over $3,000.00. Please take your business elsewhere. You may as well just park you camper in the GHETTO.
