Come visit where pristine mountain waters still flow as they did 1,000 years ago. Sit on an outcrop and feast your eyes upon the endless mountain vistas
Just 13 miles from the Mount Washington Cog Railroad, we are one of the nearest full service campgrounds to Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast with an elevation of 6,288 feet above sea level, and surrounded by White Mountain National forest. This is not to say you can’t get heya from theya! We are easily accessible to all campers and travelers, as you will see on our locator map.
Our campground is situated among a fine variety of tall pine, poplar, maple and birch trees. This is, after all, the land of the tall, pointed pines! We invite you to use us as your home base as you hike, bike, canoe, rock climb, fish, do the White Mountains Attractions, shop, leaf peep or whatever it is you do once in that vacation mode! And when you’ve done it all, and seen every attraction, enjoy our beautiful perennial gardens, cool off in our sparkling swimming pool, order your firewood delivered to you campsite, relax and kick back and perhaps a moose will pass through!

I went to this KOA specifically for their Kaboose, which is a refurbished actual train car. My son had been waiting since Feb. for this trip! Upon getting there we noticed that the train smelled like mold. The campground obviously knew because they put in an airwick oil freshner. The rugs in it were wet, and when came back after going out, found out the place was infested with flies! The top windows of this Kaboose were covered in them! It was too late to complain that night so we waited for the next morning, (my son carrying some in his bug catcher for proof, his idea lol), and we were switched to a lodge. The toilet in the lodge had great suction, but we had to push our stuff down for it to do down..disgusting hello! We moved to another one by the end of our stay, and this ones toilet didnt work at all! It was plugged up first time we used it! They brought us a plunger to undo it, and then took it with them when they left! We had to buy one for the duration of our stay! The place was in the middle of nowhere (they dont tell you the nearest grocery store is 26 miles away, and there was almost no cell reception. I had to go to breton woods for a signal!). The very first day I complained and asked for a refund and was told there are no refunds, and told me I had to stay there or loose my money. All four hundred of it! I emailed corporate, and were told tough crap, and the same from the campground. Now that I know KOA doesn't give two craps about it's members I will never stay in one again, and neither should you!
