When you first arrive it looks nice . The bugs are really bad. Lots of potholes when you go to the lake. Small pool weekends it is filled to capacity. Our electric kept on going out.Water preasure is real bad.It is close to Cape May beach. The bathrooms are dirty. There is a charge for all activities. You have to take your trash to the bingo hall,so when you play bingo thats all you smell.Security is not so good I would watch your children. Its really not worth your money. Its really dirty

A dump! And by the way, I see an "OLYMPIC SIZE POOL" is advertised. The pool is fifty feet x 30 feet. Its olympic size if youre a water bug or a turtle. False advertising..... par for lake laurie. Please correct your ad.

Low class campground

Date:

July 14, 2008

The only good thing about Lake Laurie campground was the fact that it was a short distance to Cape May beaches. The sites were tiny. Our site didn't even have room for a fire ring, as did about 5 others in our group of 8 families. Our awning was only about 2 feet away from the camper next to ours. As for electric service, it was horrible. Our breaker must have tripped at least 20 times a day, if not more. The fuses were not up to par (as even one of the maintenance guys said so himself). The lake was dirty and full of bugs and fish ~ and a huge black snake. Most of the staff was not very friendly and extremely strict (for how low-budget this place is). I felt like we were in the Dominican, with all kinds of island music playing very loud everywhere around us. We lost our water service 2 days into our trip. Everyone did, even the bath-houses had NO water pressure. This place was bad, we will not be returning.
