Quiet, Clean, Nice

August 22, 2009

I recently attended a birding workshop in Cape May, and my search for a campground was painful. Most were extravagantly expensive, some were full, all were glitzy (lifeguards, pools, entertainment, etc.) I wanted basic quiet tenting (with a hot shower thrown in).

This place was wonderful. Easy to get to (5 minutes off the Garden State), clean, simple, and inexpensive. Mostly it was quiet. The loudest things I heard were tree frogs, bull frogs, and cicadas. I felt like I was in the woods. It was like camping was in the 50's.

And for $22 per night. Can't beat it. I'll be back.
