Not again

We stayed at this campground late this summer. The campground was pretty but the ownership left a lot to be desired. We paid a month's rent and were told to park in the temporary lot until a full hookup space became available. The couple that moved in a few days after us were offered the first available full hookup spot without a word to us. The lady in the office refused to even talk to me about it and acted like I was unreasonable to even bring it up. So, after paying for a full month for full hookups at the end of four weeks I asked about refunding part of our money. The owner said "Its the same price for no hookups". I felt we were lied to and ripped off. Stay there, but don't believe a word out of that woman's mouth. Beware of when you park in the temporary parking, they kept putting people in the spot under the black walnut tree.

If you can get past the rude, unhelpful, hateful, sarcastic, woman that manages/owns the place, it's fun!
Great place to get together with family. Kids had fun. Great place-terrible customer service. BEAUTIFUL surroundings and a wonderful river & swimming quarry. Nice family atmosphere-reminded me of when I was a kid in the 70's!

Our Son's 12th Birthday

Date:

May 27, 2008

When we originally came in to check availability and rent a couple of sites, we were VERY IMPRESSED with the offer to upgrade to a cabin that comfortably housed our entire party quite well. The manager was very accommodating, and treated us as if we were top clientel. Lynn & her staff made us feel very welcome.

We decided to celebrate our son's 12th birthday party there! He had no idea what we planned, however, when he discovered his surprise as he pulled in....he was elated.

Our entire family had such an amazing time!!

The grounds are beautifully maintained. We noticed that some updates had been made since our last visit there a little over 3 years ago. The playgrounds, quarry activities, and overall grounds were clearly updated in appearance. Showing that the appeal, care & ammenities are of great importance. It's really nice.

The bathrooms were still as modern as our last visit. I've never been to a campground before, where the bathrooms look like the inside of an upscale home in a high property district. Very, very clean and beautifully designed.

The entire stay was WELL WORTH the already reasonable rates, wonderfully accommodating activities, serene and peaceful environment....there is no question that a lot of care and love are invested in this campground!

If you are EVER in the area or want to visit someplace new, that is truly family focused & oriented; don't pass up the opportunity to come for the day, or stay for the week. You won't be disappointed. We can't wait to go back & visit again!!!

Thank you Hidden Paradise Staff! You sure know how to make a weekend getaway, absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!

God Bless,
Shylo, Rebecca & Family.

I stayed there in spring so there were few other campers. The setting is great next to the flat rock river. Shaded sites all along the river. A quarry on site for swimming and also caters to scuba divers. A great local tavern nearby although you wouldnt think it by looking at it. I ride a bicyle so there are great rides along the flat rock river and small towns ect. to visit nearby. Fishing, canoeing ect.. I will be back and recomend to friends
