I always wanted to try some winter camping. Well, the winter set in early this year. The owners were very helpfull and friendly. The park is beautiful in the Fall and Winter. I'm really looking forward to going back in the Spring and Summer and playing some disk golf.

The facilities are well-maintained, though the women's bathroom maintenance was a bit lax at times. Didn't need the store but found it stocked with the basics. Laundry facilities were good but periodically locked without notice when other activities took precedence. The pool, somewhat small at approx. 15x30, is clean but not particularly warm. Speed limit (5mph) through the grounds is strictly-enforced. Fishing/boating were NOT activity options for our weekend ~ the pond was small and shallow; green scum hid all semblance of water! FANTASTIC wooded Frisbee Golf course of 18+ holes ~ a MUST event for anyone with a penchant for flinging a disk!!! Nice clientele throughout the grounds, many regulars and seasonals. Sunday AM pancake breakfast with a small surcharge for sausage patties. Sunday afternoon auction to benefit a local children's hospital accepted donations if we'd come prepared with items to auction off. DJ plays weekends throughout the summer ~ good tunes, played from 7-ish well past 10pm; extremely loud throughout the evening particularly for sites #1-10 (we were in sites #1 & 2). Conversation with friends around the campfire was difficult throughout the evening. Management responded respectfully when volume/duration addressed past the 10-o'clock hour.

Management is VERY watchful of all that goes on. They respond quickly, though not so graciously, when rule infractions are dealt with. Use of the loudspeaker to address bathroom issues was somewhat questionable/threatening ~ made us wonder when we might be called out for our "troubles." "Administrative fee" assessed ($15 for the weekend) without explanation was a bit of a surprise but not outlandish. Young teenagers felt the mgmt. was very oppressive in setting them straight by the rules ~ a bit more "grace seasoning" would've eased the reception.

A recommended campground that's clean and safe. Just read ALL the paperwork and know that the rules WILL BE enforced throughout your stay. Comforting for young families, but don't be blind-sided by the "activity patrols."
