July 28, 2013

I was just here this past week (July 21-25 2013) with my entire family-mom,brother,sister,nephews,daughter.Shower houses were pretty darn clean, and had great water pressure. The location to other places was great as well, lots of things nearby; only an hour drive(traffic pending) from VA Beach.saw lots of people with animals.got bit up with mosquitos (which camping so kind of expected).pools were pretty warm for how hot it was outside, wasn't very good way to cool down during afternoon. The hot tub was always at the temp the sign said not to use if it were at that temperature. There was tornado warning and they did not come around to let anyone know, found out when went to office to ask about pool hours.would not let my 8 month old nephew have a floaty in the pool.would not let my handicap daughter have an inflatable tube in the pool either so should could swim in the pool, she's 7 and had to go to the 1 ft baby pool.my sister's unit smelt like cat urine, her AC kept freezing up.the AC in my unit kept freezing up,and also had the receptacles burnt out so bad that we had to call maintenance after we started smelling a burning smell...and they had to replace it.we were happy that we were there when it happened and something didn't catch on fire.the filters in all the AC's looked like they hadn't been cleaned in over a month or more, they were nasty.had ants all over the kitchen and had to go to office to get RAID spray and spray it ourselves.laundry facilities are only open until 10pm and cost $1.50 per load and you bring your own supplies.this place would be great if they kept up maintenance and cleaning and replacing things when they need to be replaced.
