It was like camping with Big Brother
August 17, 2008
Other than the skunk visits, the facilities were mediocre.
However, the staff itself was horrible! We went on an off week and had empty lots next to us. Despite this, if we let a second vehicle at our lot for more than 5 minutes (our lot even had room for two!), we would get yelled at by security. This included when we were UNLOADING!
Our nearest neighbors had an infant, and took their car over to visit friends, only to be yelled at as well.
Ironically, we received the *fireman's discount*, yet, when the flames from our fire just started going above the ring, the security officer walked over to the fireman, who had 6 gallons of water next to him, and told him that our fire was too high...
Later, when our cars were parked in the overflow parking and we were fishing (for what the pathetic pond was worth), another security officer came by, telling us, "You have to move your cars NOW" because they needed that space at the time. Talk about family manners.
When I wrote to the management, she claimed that she had "received several complaints" about our noise level. This was a blatant lie (as I said, no one was around us and the only ones close to us were too busy complaining about the constant nagging from security as well). Best of all, if it was the case, why was it never brought up to us, considering how readily they reminded us of our 3 inch fire?
If you enjoy camping with Big Brother Moron, as enforced by middle-aged men flying around on golf carts and power trips, this is the place for you.
