Check in, they were helpful and courteous.

Both water and electric were close to our spot and incl fire ring and table. The campground was fairly quiet and peaceful.

We had a lovely view of.... the activities pavilion. Walked around the entire campground, found all the lovely wooded spots were given to the seasonal guests or the tent campers (no electric/water and a good distance from the comfort station). The rest of us were all top of each other.

The pool was still closed but ready to go - it looked like it was very nice. Hayride at 6:00, movie at 7:00 The movie didn't run.

The rest room incl several toilets/sinks with mirrors and outlets. There were two enclosed showers. Always very clearn, however, this was it. Port-a-potty at the edge of the tent camping area.

Pavillion had ping pong, a tv area, movie area, some toys and books, but it was closed. Game room near office open til 7. The camp store looked to be fully stocked with plenty of dry goods, as well as a refrigerated case with eggs, bacon, milk etc.

There was a playground, sandbox and volleyball net.

Unfortunately, it appears to be "owned" by the seasonal kids - no sharing allowed, and one 4-5 year old actually attacked my kid physically. His grandmother later came to my campsite and attacked me verbally for defending my kid. I had to force her to leave me alone by going directly to mgmt and later saying I would call the police if she came back.

Sadly, mgmt didn't seem to want to get involved. Rules clearly state children must be supervised at all times, but this was not enforced.

So while the grounds were clean and the amenities pleasant, the bias attitude toward not full timers was apparent. Between that, the one bathroom for the entire campground and the lousy views, my grade is less than average. I would not recommend this site for families. Hope this was helpful to someone.

We had a wonderful experience at the Little Red Barn Campground. They were undergoing new management at the time and updating, however we still had a great time. The kids were occupied with the activities and we enjoyed the quiet nights by the fire. There are two lakes close by and we had picnics and even rented a boat! The staff were all very personable and accomodating during our stay. I look forward to going back again this year to see what new activities they added and look forward to another relaxing weekend!
