My name’s Oakey Antlers and I’ll be your guide to all of the great camping experiences that you’ll find at Oakland Valley Campground!
I’ve lived in this serene, picturesque valley since I was knee-high to a rabbit and I’m here to tell you: Oakland Valley offers some of the finest camping you’ll find anywhere. Nestled in rustic woods along 2000 feet of the pristine Neversink River shore, your family will enjoy excellent amenities and camping activities.
Whether you drive in with an RV or just pitch a tent, the riverfront campsites offer campers the opportunity to fish right from their campsite. If you aren’t an angler, there’s still plenty to enjoy around here. I appreciate the quiet, peaceful setting – it’s a perfect place for my woodland friends and I to take our “vacations.” Keep your eyes open…you never know when we’ll show up for a little “F & F” (Feeding & Frolicking).
Oakland Valley Campground has outstanding modern facilities that add just the right amount of luxury to your camping experience. Although I usually stick to the river, taking a dip in the large swimming pool does get quite tempting (you folks make it look like so much fun). Enjoy a variety of outdoor sports, indoor games and much more.
Explorers have plenty to see and do around here. It’s a short drive to shopping, white water rafting, golf, horseback riding, caves, browsing for antique treasures and plenty more. Although I live here in Cuddebackville, I’ve been all over this part of the country and this scenic region has got something to offer each member of your family. Take easy day trips to that World in a Town known as New York City, the beautiful capital at Albany and many more area attractions.
Your hosts, Skip and Chris Cove, and I invite you to bring your family visit us here at Oakland Valley Campground. We guarantee you’ll be smiling from the moment you arrive!

My friends and I have been camping at Oakland Valley for 3 years and are sad to find that this year we were treated extremely unfairly. We rented 2 sites and were charged a $20 fee for moving a table 10 feet from one site to the other. Really...$20 FOR MOVING A TABLE!! Come on, how nit picky can they be! We were additionally charged $20 for leaving our campfire burning and for moving the campfire. We built our fire in a hole that already existed. We've been camping for 7 years and have never left a fire burning and never would. Our fire was out when we left and it was raining hard that day too, but unfortunately it's our word against theirs. They seem to be coming up with every possible excuse to squeeze more money out of us. Lastly, we had originally rented 3 sites and a week before called to cancel one of them and they raised the price of the other 2 sites we would be staying on. HOW CAN YOU RAISE A PRICE AFTER SOMEONE HAS ALREADY BOOKED THEM? I would highly recommend not camping at Oakland Valley...you never know what they might try to charge YOU with after you leave.

On top of the 38 dollars a night they try to scam you for a 25 dollar you did not clean up fee-- Very strict on that charge. - For 63 dollars for a one night stay they better be putting Air conditioner in my tent. ha ha . OK place but year rounders occupy all the sites next to the shallow not to good for fishing river. Dont be fooled by their deer on the web site I did not see much wild life during my stay. Dont think i would go back concidering the wifes bitchy attitude although the husband appeared to be very freindly and nice. If the price was more simmilar to other camp sites maybe but at 38 a night they can take their running water and their outhouse and whipe their own asses.
