At 2,407 feet above sea level, Cheaha Mountain is the highest point in Alabama. (This state park is surrounded by the Talladega National Forest.) This 2,799-acre mountaintop retreat provides breathtaking scenery year-round. A spectacular sunset becomes the perfect complement to an excellent evening dining experience at the park restaurant. During the day you can enjoy hiking, swimming or photographing the natural beauty of the Cheaha Mountain area. Then, after an exhilarating day you can retire to a comfortable hotel room, mountainside chalet or one of our newly renovated cabins. Or you may choose to stay closer to nature at a primitive campsite.
