I wouldn't normally take the time to write a review good, bad or otherwise. However, I just couldn't believe the comments written on here. We have camped here about 3 or 4 times a year for the last several years. I don't believe that I have ever been treated poorly. Our children enjoy the play ground, the pool and hot tub have always been clean. The pond is a pond...no weeds with a nice little beach. We have generally been placed in sites that fit whichever camper we had at the time. On holiday and special weekends they have had activities especially for the children. We have been and will continue to enjoy weekends away at River Ridge Campground.

Horrible!!!

We have camped here several times before, and everytime we have had problems. Everytime we go there, there a new petty rules that only apply to non permenent campers. They also bend the rules, for thier friends. Memorial weekend when we were there the campground was in horrible shape. It was dirty, the hot tub and pool were unusable the whole weekend, and the campsite were not groomed and untaken care of. There was little to no staff present at the campground that weekend. The owners were really rude. Wasnt there fault the site grounds were in the condition they were. This past time, they comfiscated our wood and would not let us take it home, when on memorial weekend, they allowed us to bring lumber as firewood. They also double charged our credit card and refused to refund the money. We had to get the credit card company involved to handle the issue. A family member reserved a site a year in advance, and they still did not get the site they reserved. We were treated like children, and almost kicked out for not following rules we were not imformed of. I will not go to this campground again for lack of respect of the people that keep it going, the campers. If it was a hotel, I would have demanded my money back and found a new hotel that treats it customers better. Customer service is horrible and and almost non exhistant.

This is not a family friendly campground at all... stay away if you have kids. Pond is a cess pool, i wouldnt let a dog swim in it. RUDEST people i have ever met and ive been camping a long time. CHEAP is another way to put them ... they take the money and run ... they could care less about your repeat business. It seems they have a following of the same people and unless your on their top list they HARASS you for every little thing.

Not a family a friendly place. Never been made to feel so unwelcome. They obviously do not like kids nor do they expect anyone to have fun. The management is very poor and rude. It's too bad, the place has a very nice setting but don't forsee them staying in business with the way they run things. Definately will not go back and will not recommend. The pond has a horrible smell to it. Probably okay for an older couple that wants to stay to themselves but don't expect them to be friendly to you!

As a veteran camper, I have never encountered a ruder and nastier bunch of people than those who operate this campground. They have a "take the money and run" attitude which is absolutely sickening. An appalling lack of customer service as we encountered several difficulties during our stay (none of which were our fault, but on the part of the campground) and we were given the brushoff time and time again. The worst part? A young child in our group was injured during our stay; this was witnessed by the campground manager and he actually sat there LAUGHING while this child was crying in pain! Is that disgusting or what? DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY TO THIS CAMPGROUND!!!!!

This is a nice park. The bathrooms are pretty clean. the pond is neat. They have a trampoline in the middle of it that the kids can jump off. The river was right behind us. The one thing bad is that the sites are very very narrow. Some campers had their awnings out and it camp maybe about 1 foot from the camper on the next site. They dont like to be friendly. I complimented them on the how nice the campground was and how I enjoyed the pool on check out and alls she said was " We will have to charge 1$ per hour since you stayed past 1pm you got a problem with that. " I couldnt believe that..... Also, if you get the directions off the website DO NOT FOLLOW THEM! They are wrong wrong wrong. Then if you call them. Not one person can tell you how to get there. We were lost for about an hour, pulling a 24ft trailer. She told us to turn around in the middle of the road. Do you know how difficult that is??? We finally found it without their help.

This campground has acceptable facilities, however, they let you know all of their rules in writing, enforce them against you and your kids as they see fit, and then let others who they choose bypass the same rules. They allowed 2 campers and trucks on a camp site across from us that blocked our view of the kids swimming in the pond, yet they made us park our extra car quite far to transport supplies, etc. They also made my Mother and Father-In-Law walk back to our site to bring us lunch! When I confronted them about the "double camping" across from us, they just said "we approved it!" We checked out early, and they will give us no partial refund. Our family spent a lot of money at this camp. Good Luck Camping!
