I just went, noticed some reviews were old. I'm guessing lots changed. Owners were so great and willing to help with just about everything. Clean bath house, was in process of building another bath house looked to come along great. Family owned, and great place for kids. Free hay rides on weekend free kid movie at pavilion on sat. Horse camping across the street, that people let us pet. Also tried there boat rental down Betsie River, very beautiful great equipment. And not badly priced. Overall great time if I'm seasonal I would go there. HUGE sites. I had a rude camper next door and during quiet time hour they shhhhed as cart drove by but I think you get rude people just about everywhere. But staff was on too of it. Great play ground I just loved it! Over all TLC also stands for tender love and care. And they do a great job at with holding that :) very pleased

There were a few of the attendants that were very nice but several that were absolutuely rude and no manners We stayed a week and had several of our paying friends that came and stayed and they were rude to them also .We did enjoy the lake that by the way was suppose to be stocked and wasnt but the hospitality means alot to us we will not go back under that management, which again by the waywere new owners, perhaps they need to send their emplyees to personality classes if they are going to work in the public

Comments=Horrible stay. The drunks on lot 5 made our stay horrible. Loud Country Music all day, beer cans all over the beach and watching them sitting on their float sinking beer cans was also bad. Their kids screaming on the beach and running around at 1:00 am until we finally yelled at them. I had to walk a Chocolate Lab back to the store twice where the owner was sitting. It kept coming onto our site trying to eat my Granddaughter's food. You quote us one price and charge us another when we show up to pay. That I can live with but the rest you need to fix before we stay there again. You have let the drunks take over and that's not the type of campground I want to take my Granddaughter to. Its a shame because we have been coming there for 4 years.

Loved It! Quiet & friendly.

My hubby and I went here of rour anniversary in 2005. We loved how quiet it was- the overseers make efforts (and succeed!) at keeping the noise down. They have canoes and paddleboats available for rent, the bathrooms are pretty centrally located, and the campground itself is about halfway between the Sleeeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore park entrance (great hiking & scenic drives) and the fun of mid-sized Traverse City. Bathrooms could stand to be a little cleaner, but that is the only thing that I wasn't totally satisfied with. We'll be back!!
