Summary: | Location for Detroit/AnnArbor is good.

The location for seeing The Henry Ford is the main reason for staying here. I know there are some seasonals here also. The sites along the lake are nice and well kept, as is the beach area. Bathrooms badly need updating, as well as general maintanence around the main building. Putt is nice, but boring. Playground likewise. The owner (a young, heavy set man who rides around in a golf cart??) is very rude and has no people skills, whatsoever. WE were shocked at the way we were treated. We'd never return to this campground.

I practically grew up at this campground as we camped here in a pop up all the time. I even honeymooned here 15 years ago. We went back for the first time last weekend and unforunately they haven't done much updating since our last visit. The bathrooms and showers were pretty nasty. There is also only one bathroom facility( with about 6 stalls) for over 200 sites. On the plus side our site was roomy and easy to pull in. The kids enjoyed the playground, Halloween activities, trail around the lake. They also have mini golf ($2). We had to pay extra for our 3rd child which I thought was ridiculous. I would return again if they do some remodeling to the bathroom facilities.

Summary: | mostly wooded, partly open, lg CG along shore of small lake

Despite poor reviews of late on other sites, this CG wasn't bad at all. We had a pullthrough FU site in the trees with plenty of room for our slideout and awning; bonus was a view of the lake. For a weekend campout near a major city, it was surprisingly quiet. A few seasonals but they're tidy, w/o lots of stuff on their sites. No pool, but there is swimming in the little lake, as well as fishing and rental canoes/rowboats/paddleboats. Minigolf too. Very convenient to Greenfield Village & Henry Ford Museum.
