would like to say that the park is nice but the guy who owns it is a prick!!!! we just got told we had to go cause we were breakin the rules!! i drained old gas out of a scotter i bought and left the jug under camper , that got us kicked out. i am 33 and the guy acted like he didn't want us here to start with and seemed like he was lookin for a reason to kick us out. a guy right beside us had three cars on his lot for a couple of years but he is still here, someone else has a wrecked trail blazer that looks junki and yet he is still here. i incourage you to go somewhere else, just for the fact that he does not treat everyone fair! that says alot about that person. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

The "Grandpa" older man, yelled at my husband and used filthy language over a mistake made - even when my husband apologized he was threatened to not come back! The "Grandma" talked very unkindly over the phone and did not care how we were treated. We will not be treated this way. Will no go back there ever - they may have a clean place, good prices, but if one little mistake is made, then they yell, scream at you! No one needs to be treated this way, especially if you apologize and area customer :(

They Lied to me. I offered to pay in advance back in May 2011. They told me don't worry we will be able to have a spot for you. You may have to move to another site during your 1 MONTH stay. That was Okay with me. I'm on their waiting list NO PROBLEM! It's now 8-04-2011. We are full. We don't have anything. After first calm talking, it escalated to less than desirable from of communication. To me they lied. Oh they also told me they don't take reservations ahead of time. Figure that one out. But they are full thru Sept.

This is an extremely convenient facility. Literally right off of I65 at exit 116. The bathrooms and laundry are kept much cleaner than most parks. The pricing is the best in the area (needs to be to get clients - read next paragraph).

This is certainly not a pet friendly or family friendly RV park. There are dozens (really dozens) of signs reminding you about their pet policy. So many in fact it beats you over the head. There is absolutely zero shade ANYWHERE at the park. Apparently this is a family owned park (2 younger men and a really cute woman plus the grumpiest of all grumpy old men). The men and woman are very nice and helpful --- BUT the grumpy old guy can and will ruin just about any stay that you have there - avoid him at ALL costs. He seems to be looking for an argument at every turn.

So to summarize - If you are looking for a cost effective place to spend a night or two while traveling up or down the highway this is a good place. If you have kids or pets and are going to be spending a weekend you might want to consider going one more exit north and stay at the KOA. The KOA has propane on site and is much friendlier to family and pets. But it will take some much needed gas money out of your pocket.

Cleans sites - rude/hateful owner

Date:

This campground is located conveniently south of Louisville, KY (15-20 mins). The sites are pea gravel and clean. That is where the good parts of the campground end. Wireless internet is spotty. I requested the clerk to check the connection and was told not to call about it, as there was nothing they could do about the service. No one is at the office until about 6pm, and they're there for about 4+ hours. The park has guidelines (posted all over the inside of the park) not to allow any dogs to urinate on the bushes, a somewhat understandable request. I made the mistake, though, of walking my dog across the street and forgetting to bring a bag with me for cleanup. The owner caught me going back to my space to get a bag for cleanup and, believe it or not, cussed me out and threatened to kick me out of his park without reimbursement of any paid money. After the name calling I received from him I tried to explain but was told he didn't care and for me to get my f@#$ing a@# back to my space. After cleaning the mess up I walked to the office to let him know - as a courtesy. He yelled at me, threatened to kick me out, cussed me out, and told me to go back to my space before he throws me out. This man does NOT care about kindness, courtesy, or business. I have never written a review about a campground before ... I will begin with this one! I promise to write accurate reviews that you can trust (good and bad). PLEASE, DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE ... DON'T STAY AT THIS PARK. There are other ones ...

If you are looking for an extremely clean, "no frills" type of campground at a great price...Grandma's is your place. Located right off of 65 south of Louisville the location is great. The staff is very nice and the area is spotless.

What they are missing as far as activities they make up for with all of the good that they do. Not much for a family, but I am a solo (or have my girlfriend with me) this is a very nice place.

This RV park is not a "destination" but is excellent for an overnite stop or a few days. It is very clean, all pull-thrus, and very reasonably priced. The owners(a family owned/operaterd place) are very friendly and helpful.
We make several trips a year through the area and intend to make it our place to stop from now on.

The only down side is that it is close to I-65 so you do get some road noise when outside but not inside.
