Nice to visit but not live

Date:

December 19, 2008

We stayed there while looking for a home, in an older but nice RV. since we were in a older rv we were forced to stay in the back of the park near the sewer.
The winter guests are very nice, and Tom the owner is great. we experienced serveral problems with the manager Tim.
We Chose this park for the pet policy, and the pool. we felt the higher rent for the area would be worth it. one thing we were immediately dissapointed with was, rarely do they heat the pool. when they advertise "heated pool" and in the summer Tim closes the pool constantly. using the excuse that insurance does not let people swim during a storm...only problem, there is never a storm when he closes it. and when it does storm, the pool remains unlocked. so if a pool is a priorety, this is not the place for you.
we did however enjoy the other guests of the park. nice snowbirds, and decent year round people as well.
when we left. Tim the manager did not want to refund our elec. deposit. we were always up to date on all bills/rent, and had a 0 bal when we pulled out. he had no good excuse why he wouldn't return the money, and he then stopped answering our phone calls. so we contacted the owner, and were refunded 1/2 our deposit. according to our records, we should have only owed a few dollars , but we didn't need the stress, and accepted 1/2 the money, and moved on.
If I had a need to live in a park again, this would not likely be the one.
