Park not worth staying
April 24, 2010
I just read a review on Shady Acres in Fort Myers.( Same owners )They must hire from the same family. The managers sound like sisters. The park is unkept and rules are not enforced. All park activities are planned and paid for by the guests.Again the one guy they had working for them they laid him off.( The owners couldn't afford to pay him )They always threaten to remove the washers and dryers.Nearest shopping is 45min.-1 hour away. There was a situation involving myself and another guest and the solution for the managers was to not renew our reservation for the following year, rather than solve the problem.Very unproffesional with dealing with guests and their needs. The sites are so small we couldn't put out our awning. There is a cost for the internet and parking for your vehicle and boat is on a first come first serve basis. My husband is a avid fisherman and that is what kept us going to the same place. But we have realized that there are many more fishing holes to explore.I have heard the manager berate her husband many times on the radio and in person.HOW VERY UNPROFFESIONAL.
