Poorly maintained cabins

Date:

Cabins are a lot of money for very little! Web site says bring UTENSILS... no pots, pans, or dishes! Was there twice before with basic kitchen hardware. When I complained, the owner said they never had provided these. I have freinds with the same experience. I expect soon the cabins will be gone to make more RV room--no cleaning or provisions needed. Love the view, love spending time with freinds but way too crowded. And I do not lie!!!

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I have to agree with the other reviews. The owners boyfriend acted drunk and argumentative. We left with only being there 1 hour. Had Not even unpacked. We got over charged $1100.00 on one credit card and $400 on the other. After the owner agreeing to get it fixed in the morning, her boy friend came by and told me I was a credit card fraud and I must go around and do this to other camp grounds. LOL I live in the same town, I own a large business in the same town. I coach wrestling at the local school, and I gave them my drivers License when I checked in. AVOID!!!

Nice campground - would definitely go back!

We tent-camped with another family (2 sites total). We felt the sites were huge and nicely layed out. We could walk to the beach and the campground had an excellent view of Lake Erie. Management seemed to always be out. They were upset that we showed up to check in close to closing time and seemed upset that the other family we were coming with would arrive an hour after the office closed, but we did tell them well in advance that we had a long drive and may be late. They reminded us that our dogs could not be on the beach (even though we stood well behind the signs they had displayed) and we have to pick up after them (which we ALWAYS do). I did feel like we were always being watched but I guess they just want their campground rules to be followed. We had a great time even though we got rained out. I would definitely go back! Beautiful View!

No water or electric, never visit again.

Our most recent trip was over July 4th, 2010, we wanted to try out this campground, so sorry we did. When we arrived there were three campers traveling together and we were supposed to be all placed together, we were not. Things only got worse from there... We had NO WATER PRESSURE, we actually had to fill holding tanks to have water pressure to shower and wash dishes with. There was not enough power for all the campers, even had the owners look at it, too many campers running ac units kepts blowing breakers. This should never happen at a correctly set up campground. We took our boat, the boat slip is horrible, if this is the reason your staying here look else where. I can say the view is nice, but your way above the water and you can't get down there since they closed the stairs due to lack of maintenance. We will not ever stay again at this RV park. The owners should put money in water supply, tv hook ups, electric, and internet access and not the automatic gate that only works part of the time.

The "deluxe" cabin we stayed in was filthy. I spent the first day spring cleaning it! The view was great--once I cleaned the windows. The loft smelled of urine and half of the light bulbs were burnt out. My husband and son slept in the loft (despite the urine) and I slept on the futon. The bed in the bedroom was so noisy you couldn't even sit on it. The window screen was missing so we couldn't even open the bedroom window in the evening. The beach is more than rocky. You really cannot even set-up chairs to sit by the water. The staff was VERY unfriendly and not too helpful. Didn't seem concerned or surprised when I mentioned the urine smell. Vacationing on Lake Erie is great, but I would look to stay elsewhere.

It sucked. Felt like a kid constantly being watched by management who rode a bike around ALL DAY AND NIGHT! Their store is a joke, nothing in it. Felt like I was in a POW camp.
