Summary:

In the middle of Redwoods, on the banks of the Klamath River. Beautiful scenery, great people!

This campground is right in the middle of the Redwoods & Alder trees. It extends down to the Klamath River for great fishing and Whale Watching. It is an easy 2 or 3 mile ride from the Hwy. You have a choice of areas to camp. If you want all the hook ups, Satellite TV & WiFi, you have the upper area with pull thru & back in spots. They have a grass lawn & trees. That is where we stayed, and it was great! All spots have fire pits and picnic tables if you want them. There is also the Meadow which is very shady and has the main hook ups; water, electric & sewer. No WiFi or Satellite (I believe). There is also the Tent area with many trees and grass. Nice clean restrooms and hot showers (free!) were a plus and a well stocked store/office, and laundry room! They even have their own Salmon Smoker and will either smoke yours or you can buy theirs! Firewood is available and the host is very helpful! Aaron took us on an edible plant tour and showed us the Bigfoot Trap they have there! We stayed a week and can't wait until our next vacation to come back to Kamp Klamath!
