Loved it

We just returned from our first stay at Misty River and wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the campground, people, location, and environment. We have been coming to the Smokies for a long time and make it a point to stay on the ‘quiet side’ in the Townsend area. Frankly, other campgrounds we have tried through the years keep changing management and/or make staying there miserable for their guests. We were pleasantly surprised to find Misty River and will definitely be back. The Thanksgiving dinner in the clubhouse was so nice and it was evident the spirit of what camping is all about is alive and well at Misty River!

Had aGreat Time

We just left the Lodge Cabin on Oct.19th and we had a great time. It”s right on the river and was clean with no rats. The post below it looks like an ex employee must have posted it or a bridezills that overspent on her wedding and was trying to run a scam to get something for nothing. I’m sure you know the type! If you ever in the area stop by and take a look around and see for your self.
We stayed for a week and it was not long enough to do every thing that we wanted to do. The colors is just starting to change and the trees are so red right now. We love the area and Misty River.

Worst experience we've ever had. We rent cabins in this area all the time, and this was the worst. There was a RAT in our cabin. It ran across the floor and my husband spent the night trying to kill it. There was no number left for us to call if there was a problem. There was no one at the office to answer us. The big problem came the next day when we went to check out and alerted the office about our problem. The woman at the front desk blamed it on us. She actually said, " how do we know that you didn't leave the door open and let it in?" Are you kidding me! I have never met anyone so freaking rude in my life. The owner walked right past us when we tried to talk to him, and went into his office and closed the door, leaving us to deal with the rude lady at the desk. Hope no one else stays there and has a similar experience, so I don't recommend this place. There are countless others in the area, go to them, they are all better.

You got to see the bath house. WOW A+++

What a great place to camp. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The sites are level and wide. Only a few miles from the entrance to the Smoky Mountain national park. We look at some of the campgrounds closer to the park, but this one had bigger sites and a bath house that had private rooms with everything in them, and so clean, the wife loved it. The bath house had like 12 private bathrooms, so it made it easy when it was time to give the kids there bath. The pool was bug & clean with a hot tub next to it. All the sites are FHU with cable and the wifi was strong.
They did not have any sites on the river, but we did walk over to it and try out luck at fishing. We camped in a 32’ TT. We loved it and will go back again!

There sites are big and easy to get into and out of. I can sit in the hot tub and watch the kids in the pool. The wife LOVES the private bathrooms. If you don't camp there you got to go see the bathrooms! I have never seen bathrooms like this in any campground. There great!

The river was low due to the lack of rain, we wanted to tube the river, but had to walk part of it. The fishing was good. I cant wait untill I get to go back.
