Sun N Fun looks very nice and seems to have lots for the kids and all family members to enjoy. Pool – Computer room (only if you are 16 and up and can tolerate being harrassed by secutity)- fitness facility (only if you are 16 and up) – billards room (under construction)- rec hall (where there is nothing but a piano)- shuffle board – mini golf (infested with mosquitos)

March 21 2014
We have stayed at Sun N Fun 4 or 5 times before and always saw campers with their boats parked on their sites. I made my reservations 2 months in advance and was explicit about needing a site that would accommodate my boat. The lady who took my reservation and charged my credit card said she would make sure I got a 60' site that would have the room to park my boat. We checked in on the day designated and the next morning I drove back 180 miles to the Marina where I keep my boat and loaded it on the trailer and drove the 180 miles back to Sun N Fun. The next day we went off shore fishing and returned to the campground about 4PM. With in 1 hour of pulling our boat in someone from the office knocked on our door to ask us to park the boat at the parking lot (Un-Secured). I was told that anyone staying over 1 week had to park their boat there. I told him I had specifically reserved a site for my boat and RV. That didn't matter they had received a complaint. He said he would send "Linda" the park supervisor.

2 days later the head of security showed up at my site to say that boats weren't allowed this time of year on the sites (March). I told her I wasn't moving my boat out of my sight. She called "Linda' and she and "Jan" showed up 10 minutes later to tell me they would call the sheriff and have me forcibly evicted. I would have 1 hour to pack up and leave or they would do it for me. We decided to leave without the sheriffs help and told them they had breached our contract and would be getting a summons from the court. There is no regulation for parking boats in Fun N Sun's park rules. They were making things up as they went. It cost me over $400 in fuel and a wrecked vacation.

By the way don't be mislead by the Wi-Fi hot spots shown on the park map, none of them work. You have to go up to the computer room to get on line.

Stay away from Sun N Fun!

Don't bring your children to this campground!

This campground is infested with fire ants - I spent a small fortune at the Lowes down the street ridding my campsite of them. The grounds maintenance people carelessly cut my cable cord with their weed wacker - they ran over my sewer hoses with their riding lawn mower and they didn't even tell me or appologize. My kids were harrassed by the elderly security staff and the campground manager every time they left my camper. The manager - Tim - has no customer service skills and makes it very clear that he does not like children, which is why he does not have any. He and his security staff writes up violation tickets on kids all over the campground and do not inform the parents even though these are minors. You can not laugh or make a sound in the computer room or else they will threaten your children and write them a violation ticket. With the exception of 2 very nice members of their security staff, the others are rude, unprofessional and extremely against children of all ages. I recommend to stay far away from this campground unless you want to be miserable or unless its just you and your dogs.
