Carolina Beach State Park

Beautiful, heavily-wooded coastal campground surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway and Cape Fear River on three sides. Access to great coastal fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking and beach combing. Minutes from the beach, boardwalk, a world-class aquarium and 15 minutes from downtown historic Wilmington, NC and the USS N.C. Battleship Memorial. Campsites were recently renovated in 2009 with fresh tend pad gravel, new picnic tables, edging around the sites and many new fire rings. There are NO electrical hookups at any of the sites (except the handicapped site). There is an RV dump station at the exit. Bathrooms are large and roomy and feature hot water and showers. There is water sites around the campground, evenly spaced out between the sites. Most sites can accommodate two tents. Several RV sites are drive through.
