- 1330 S. Mt. Tom Road, Mio, MI 48647, USA
Rustic camping with the benefit of hot showers and flush toilets in the resort area. Spacious campsites that are generously spaced out in the woods backing up to the Huron National Forest. Specializing in group camping. Campsites accommodate from 1 to 60 people. Pull through sites for larger vehicles or camping units. Note: NO hookups.
Fire ring & picnic table at each site. Water available in the campground via a spicket. Purchase firewood or plenty to scavenge (no chainsaws allowed).
Family owned & family friendly. We do have quiet hours, but we will never make you turn off your radio or tell you when you have to go to bed. Of course, unless we receive a complaint.
Generators are allowed, but absolutely have to be turned off no later than 10 p.m. and can not be re-started until at least 9 a.m. Sorry, but it ruins the experience of camping for everyone.
Prices are $7 per person per night. However a family of 3 or more never pay more than $21 a night. (note family=mom, dad, & kids).
Going on the river? The local canoe liveries will come here, pick you up and when you are done with your fun for the day, bring you back here.
ORV/ATV/motorcycling? Thanks to the new Oscoda County ordinance, you can now unload and ride from here. Free trail maps available in the office and we’ll give you a run down on the laws involved with the ordinance to minimize your chances of getting in trouble with DNR.
Looking to go fishing? We know several of the angler shops and can get you hooked up really quick, some angler offer guided tours on the AuSable River. If not into river fishing we’ll help you find some of the fishing lakes in Oscoda County.
Hunting? Can’t go wrong in the middle of the Huron National Forest with abundance of wild life. Aside from white tail deer, there’s grouse, woodcock, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, even bear!
