Eighty miles northwest of New York City on 70 scenic acres, this KOA is close enough for a visit to the Big Apple, yet a wonderful retreat in itself. New owners take pride in the peaceful, wooded setting along the historic Neversink River. Deerpark KOA has full-hookup pull thru sites, secluded tent sites, cabins and new family bathrooms. Enjoy free Wi-Fi and plenty of activities at the kampground, with a stocked fishing pond, bike and river tube rentals, mini golf, driving range and heated pool. Guests love the sand volleyball court, new playgrounds and new pet area. On weekends, families can join in arts/crafts and scavenger hunts, or ride the old-fashioned train and 1920s fire engine.
Discover miles of hiking trails next door at the 550-acre nature
preserve. Horseback riding is available just 2 minutes away. Hot air ballooning, canoeing and kayaking trips are nearby. Small towns with unique shops dot this celebrated region between the Catskills, the Poconos and Delaware Water Gap.

The bathrooms were very clean by the tents site area (C) near the river. The bathrooms by the pool (A) were horrific however with feces on the floor and toilet paper everywhere. The sites were decent, had noisy neighbors but they did quiet down around 1130. The office/store was a bit disorganized, they are losing money because only 2 people working and both had to handle check in check out. My son just wanted something to drink but had to wait in the check in line to pay. The pool was extremely small normal for a personal in ground pool but not to handle the amount of guests and it was filthy by end of day. Overall though the property was well kept. Just avoid the sites by the pool. We stayed in a pop up trailer.
