The Park has 60 campsites, 4 picnic shelters, 6 restrooms, 100 parking spaces, 8 walk-in campsites, a “Kids Don’t Float” life preserver kiosk, public dock, and a small entrance station. The picnic shelters can be reserved for groups for a fee. The park also serves as a primary winter access point for Big Lake ice roads and snowmachine trailhead.

From mile 52.3 Parks Highway, take the Big Lake Road 3.6 miles to "Y", take the right of the “Y”, North Shore Drive, 1.4 miles to the end of road where you’ll find the Park Entrance.

Campground Rules

• The use of alcoholic beverage is prohibited at Big Lake North and Big Lake South campgrounds. • Offenders will be fined $50.00, and may be asked to leave the campground. • Each vehicle parked overnight within the park will be charged a $15.00 per night per site camping fee. • Day use hours are 7:00 M. To 11:00 P.M. Day users must exit the parks at 11:00 P.M. • Quiet hours are enforced from 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 AM. Generators, stereo, or loud noises are prohibited. During this time period all motorized watercraft at Big Lake North must operate at speeds of 5 MPH or less, within the no wake zone. • No wake zones extend from the shoreline out to 300 feet in front of the launch and 100 feet round the entire shoreline of the bay. • Pets must be leashed 9 feet or less and kept under control. • Discharge of firearms and fireworks are prohibited.
