The Most Beautiful Scenery

I just found that Ocean View Park has a web site www.oceanviewpophammaine.com
Take a moment to see the beautiful scenery that it offers and it is only steps away from each campsite. The beach offers miles of sandy beach from Old Fort Popham to The Popham Beach State Park.
It is a wonderful place to spend time with your family. We enjoy kite flying, beachcombing for our favorite Sand Dollar Shells, fishing, sun bathing, body surfing and skim boarding, and site seeing to Historic Fort Popham. At night we have campfires at the beach while watching the 2 lighthouses shine. It is so hard to leave and when we return home, we miss the sound of the waves!

This is a beautiful place and the family that runs it are great wonderful people. They treat everyone with respect and like family. They are friendly, courteous, and go out of their way to make people feel welcomed. The beach is wonderful just to lay and relax and listen to the ocean waves. Bathrooms and bath houses are clean and always supplied with what people need. The store is stocked with a lot of good food and bait for fishing. I love this place, my husband and I have been camping there for the past 6 or 7 years, we wouldn't want to go any where else.

paradise close to home

When I discovered Ocean View Park 9 years ago, I could not believe that a campground existed that was right on an endless sandy beach with islands to walk to and sights to see. I had been looking for about 2 yrs and found 1 that was mud flats and another that was pebbles, no sand. others you had to drive to the ocean or use a pool. My goal was to be on the ocean. Now I spend as much time as possible there, this year being the whole summer. I don't need my car because 90% of what I need is at the store. The people who camp there for the most part are helpful & friendly and meet nightly on the beach for a campfire. It is strictly family run with love. The bath areas remind me of my teen age years but are always clean and freshly painted every year. You have a choice of sunny sites & wooded sites & some full hookups. All have water & electricity. Lets just say if it did not get so cold in Maine I'd stay all year.

Expensive and run down

This campground is in a beautiful setting on Popham Beach, but the campground was rundown. Sites were very small. actually crammed in, no full hook-ups and the dump station was very difficult to get to, as it was right next to another campsite and public bathroom. Also, there was $5 a day fee for dogs, been camping across the country have never had this fee.Owners were friendly and it was a quiet campground. But, it was expensive for the services they had $48,plus the $5 pet fee, then the tax.
