This park, Vermont’s first State Park, is located atop scenic Mt. Philo in Charlotte. The mountain overlooks the Champlain Valley and the Adirondack Mountains of New York. A narrow steep road (not recommended for trailers) provides access to the top of the mountain. This small wooded camping area on the mountainside has a total of 7 tent sites and 3 lean-tos. Toilets and hot showers are provided. The mountain top picnic area provides spectactular views. An enclosed picnic shelter is available for large group gatherings. Swimming and boating are available at nearby Button Bay and Kingsland Bay State Parks at no additional cost. Numerous attractions and activities are available around Burlington and along nearby Lake Champlain. MC/VISA.

From Jct. Hwy 22A and U.S. 7: Go 6 mi N on U.S. 7, then 1 mi E on local road (Caution: steep entrance and camp roads -- not recommended for trailers).
