We have been serving the public since 1982 under the same family. We are close to all major attractions in Western North Carolina. Make us your home base and tour the mountains. McDowell County offers a host of attractions such as; Little Switzerland, Linville Caverns, Lake James Park, Mountain Gateway Museum, Davidson’s Fort and Mountain Mitchell State Park the highest peak east of the Mississippi. We are only a short distance to Grandfather Mountain, Biltmore House, Chimney Rock and Cherokee Indian Reservations, white water rafting and local ski resorts.

Directions
If you’re coming from the East (from the right) you make a left at the bottom of the ramp, you then make your first right (as you can see the first right is also the off ramp from the West) don't despair our road Catawba River Road intersects the off ramp, when your half way up the off ramp you will turn left on Catawba River Road and travel three miles (pass a ballpark on the left our SIGN is on the tennis court, then you will pass a church on the right, we will be about 1/4 mile more on the left.) If you are coming from the West (Asheville) take exit 73 and BEFORE you reach the end of the off ramp you will turn right on Catawba River Road. Then continue with the directions above.

Campground Rules: 1. Pets must be kept on a leash and quiet. Pets not allowed to be left unattended at your campsite. 2. Parents are responsible for the actions and safety of their children, Catawba Falls Campground is not responsible for accident or loss of any kind. 3. No trees, bushes, or shrubbery, to be cut, removed, defaced, damaged or injured in any way. Use only established trails on riverbank or mountain. 4. Catawba Falls Campground is not responsible for accidents to persons or property. This is a natural setting so care should be exercised when playing in the river or hiking in the area. 5. Quiet Hours Begin At 10 PM. Anyone breaking this rule will be asked to leave. This is privately owned property. We reserve the right to select our clientele and visitors. We pride ourselves on maintaining a QUIET and PEACEFUL campground.
